My Mastermind Group

I want to tell you about an amazing group of women that I have been spending time with lately.  We are the “Creative Entrepreneurial Mastermind Group,” which is quite a mouthful, but it DOES describe who we are.  We are all women who have our own creative businesses.  Most of us are a “one woman band.”  We meet once a month in each other’s homes and talk about our business successes, challenges and goals.  We brainstorm ideas and support each other with total honesty, respect and compassion.  We play the devil’s advocate, challenge assumptions and learn from each other’s successes and failures.  We always come away from our sessions energized and ready to take on the world!

So who are these wonder women?  Well, there is Laurie Davis, otherwise known as the Glitter Fairy.  Since 1999, Laurie has been glittering artichokes, flamingoes, sea stars, pears, dragonflies, bumblebees….she will glitter YOU if you like.  Laurie is a force to be reckoned with…she has appeared on the Martha Stewart Show and sells her fabulous glitter creations to the likes of Nieman Marcus.  It was Laurie, who with her good friend, photographer Peggy Garbus, brought our Mastermind group together.  Peggy is a fabulous photographer, specializing in photographing children individually and together with siblings, adults and favorite family pets.  I can attest to Peggy’s photographic prowess as she has photographed my boys as well as my bags for a submission to Coastal Living.   Peggy and I share a connection to Wilton Children’s Theater, where we were both board members.  This local organization, with which we were involved because of our children’s interest in theater, was a catalyst for both of us in launching our respective businesses.  Bea Schriver of Bea Schriver Florals, brings years of experience and artistry with fresh flowers to create real beauty with silk flowers.  Bea’s designs are a stylish, sophisticated complement to homes and businesses.  She is indeed a pro!   Anita Sobleson is a seamstress extrordinaire.  She designs and makes home furnishings which are personally designed and hand crafted with luxurious fabrics and trims to add to your home’s unique personality.  Finally, but by no means least, is Olga Adler, a real fireball….Olga is everywhere!   Her interior design services specialize in your style.  Olga is known for her fondness for simple forms, love of color and unique accessories.  She has won acclaim for her refreshing approach to classic design.

These women are terrific and my lifesource.  How lucky am I?
